Client is a leader in post-production company providing editorial, color, audio, graphics and digital services for complete post production services for, feature films, episodic television, commercials and other media. Additionally, they continue to be the leader in motion picture marketing, providing finishing services for trailers and television spots for many of today’s hottest films.

Client entered into affiliations with 2 other leading companies in same domain and needed to seamless integrate and automate complementary data across 3 enterprises for an enterprise Business Intelligence solution. Proposed system needed to consider data quality and complex organizational hierarchies in building master data across enterprises with key objectives involving the following:

Building a centralized, dynamic, and real-time leadership dashboard to help address key business challenges.

Holistic view of the health and performance of the business in one place.

Make visibility drive action and shared direction across the organization.

Implement and leverage Tableau version 1.0 to support daily OPS management, client management, and financial optimization.

Satwic provided the complete project proposal, designed the system, and implemented the DWH and BI solution, performing all of the work activities in business analysis, architecture design, technical implementation, integration, and hyper care.

The core components included:

Azure Data Factory as the ETL and data integration component

Azure Data Lake as storage component.

Azure SQL Database as the data warehouse component

Tableau as the presentation component

The source data is ingested into Azure Data Lake (which acts as a staging layer) using Azure data factory, ADF lets transform all raw data from relational, non-relational, and other storage systems; and integrate it for use with data-driven workflows.

Client is a premier performance-based online marketing company specializing in Data & List Management, Email, Display and Affiliate Marketing. Business approach is designed to effectively maximize the relationship between advertisers, producers, and highly responsive consumers. Their proprietary technology coupled with end-to-end campaign management has enables to consistently drive a high rate of return to the partners.

Client was facing challenges in evaluating successes of email campaigns. As marketing teams become leaner and more business outcome focused, there’s been a push for email marketers to evaluate the success of their email campaigns. Sophisticated marketers are looking beyond traditional vanity metrics and are digging into engagement trends that look at the health of their email lists, performance of their campaigns, and segments allowing them to gain valuable insights that shape their evolving email marketing strategies. But data and analytics can be overwhelming, especially if one doesn’t know where to get the data and what to do with the results.The project aimed at providing a high-level view of email metrics. Email performance encompasses most of the traditional metrics and reports that one can think of tracking to benchmark the KPIs from one campaign to the next (e.g., open rate, click-through rate, bounces, and unsubscribes), giving an indication of how well emails are performing and what opportunities there are for improvement.

Satwic provided detailed project approach, design and implementation of BI solution, performing all of the work activities in business analysis, architecture design, technical implementation, integration, and hyper care. The objective of this project is to integrate the email marketing revenue data stored in MySQL into Redshift using Pentaho ETL Tool for Tableau reporting.

Client is an American personal care company headquartered in Carson, California. Its products include cleansers, exfoliate, toners, masques, eye treatments, and moisturizers, as well as an acne treatment line for teens. Dermalogica has primary operations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, Pakistan and Ireland and is sold in more than 80 countries worldwide. Client has more than 100,000 trained skin therapists around the globe and 22 concept spaces in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. The concept spaces and/or hybrid learning centers worldwide are dedicated to bringing consumer and professional education, professional treatments and retail sales together under one roof. Client’s integrated data warehouse provides reporting ability to all regional data marts under one roof, bringing in data from multiple ERP implementations in different regions like US, UK, Australia, Germany/France etc., it provides ability for Global Sales team to provide valuable insights of sales, planning/forecasting, supply chain management etc.

 

Satwic analyzed current systems and came up with a detailed design to effectively integrate all data feeds from different region and report those transactions through Tableau online cloud. ETLs were designed to be template based, reusable and structured in a way to quickly implement it with different NAV systems in different regions and scalable to changing business environment. And also it handles currency conversions for all amounts coming from sales/GL.
